Probate and Letters of administration are grants of representation (a legal document) issued by the Supreme Court of Victoria which enables the executor or administrator of an estate to deal with the deceased’s assets.

Probate to an executor of an estate is granted when the deceased has left a valid will. Letters of administration is issued to the administrator of an estate where the deceased has not made a will or the will is not valid.
