Family Court of Australia (FCA)

Difference between FCA and FCC

Both the Family Court of Australia (FCA) and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia (FCC) hear family law disputes, however the two Courts adopt different processes and procedures.

Most family law matters are heard in the FCC. Typically, the FCA hears the more complex family law matters, including international relocation, parenting applications involving allegations of child abuse (Magellan List cases) and complex financial disputes involving high net worth individuals.
