Louise Date graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne in 1984. She has been admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and in all Federal Courts of Australia since 1985.

Before joining Carew Counsel in March 2006, Louise's career included over 20 years of practice in all aspects of civil litigation in jurisdictions ranging from VCAT through to the Victorian County and Supreme Courts. Louise brings to the firm her wide experience and her ability to offer sensible and pragmatic advice. She enjoys using those skills to assist clients in the resolution of their family law matters in a sensitive yet practical manner. Louise obtained her accreditation as a specialist in family law in 2011.

Louise also has extensive experience in Wills and Estates and in litigation involving disputed Wills. Her knowledge on all aspects of Wills and Estate planning particularly in the area of Testamentary Trusts is a great asset to the firm and she is involved in the Wills and Estate Planning division of the Law Australasia Group of which Carew Counsel is a member.
