Susan Scott-Mackenzie obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from Melbourne University and was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1979. She worked for various firms before joining Carew Counsel Solicitors in February 2000 after taking time out of family law for several years to care for her children.

She obtained her accreditation as a specialist in family law in 2003. Susan has over 20 years experience practising exclusively in all areas of family law and its associated jurisdictions. Over the years she has served on various committees and been involved in the presentation of legal education events.

Susan currently conducts regular seminars at Carew Counsel and maintains current knowledge of the continual changes in family law and its associated jurisdictions by regular attendance at legal education programs within the profession.
